In this economy the chances of being attacked are higher than average, bad times bring more crime. Defend yourself against an assailant that wants your money or something worse with the help of a telescopic baton.

Telescopic Steel Batons are lightweight, you don’t have to be strong to wield one. They vary in length, closed approximately 7-12 inches and can expand to either 16, 21 or 26 inches so you can get one that you feel comfortable with.

Be sure the baton you decide on is easy to grip, has a no slip handle a low profile appearance so it does not announce itself and should not have any sharp edges that could cut you, the attacker, or an innocent bystander.

Self defense is the goal, you hit someone a couple of times with a steel baton they will think twice about coming back for more and risk injury.

The telescopic baton can also be used as a deterant, criminals are cowards and they look for easy victims the very site of a baton will make the attacker think twice.

It’s opens with a flick of the wrist, you should practice snapping it open into the locked position, don’t wait until you need it to try to extend the baton.

You can carry it open (extended position) when you are in dark areas, parking lots, etc. for immediate use. Don’t get caught with your baton down.

Telescopic steel batons make great self protection devices but they are not allowed in all areas so make sure to check your local laws. There are baton handling classes available, you might want to look into that.
