Question by lady j: Has anyone ever used “Muzzle” dog pepper spray to protect yourself from dogs? How does it affect the dog?
When walking my dog I sometimes fear another dog attacking mine. Would the Muzzle Pepper Spray be a good way to protect me and my dog?

I always carry pepper spray when I am out walking my dogs. Just in case another dog decides to attack one of mine I don’t want to stand there helpless. I think pepper spray is a great defense weapon because it won’t give the dog any long term injuries but it will stop any attack immediately. I have never had to use it, but I am glad I have it.
Just remember, pepper spray doesn’t just effect the dog you spray it on, it affects everyone in a small radius around you so you will get some, your dog will get some; it isn’t fatal but it is very painful so only use it if absolutely necessary.

Question by Greg: can self defense pepper spray be used more than once?
For example, a 2 oz can of pepper spray. If I spray it to see how it works and test it, if only for a second, can this still be used and relied on for self defense? Or after being activated once, is it any less dependable?

You get several good squirts out of the smaller ones.
Buy two, empty one outside and get a feel for it. Face downwind (you don’t want that crap blowing back at you!)
